Sandy Ryan, Founder

Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Sandy Ryan’s interest in the West Coast grew over a lifetime of family trips to Palm Springs and a love of stage and screen. After finishing her education at Northwestern University, she moved to Los Angeles in 1998 to pursue a career in performing arts. While spearheading her passion project, Sandy took on the administrative roll of bookkeeper for her small television production company, taking the first step towards what would eventually become her niche bookkeeping business. 

Over the past 20+ years Sandy has worked with a variety of businesses ranging from fashion designers, musicians, and one of LA’s most beloved independent bookstores, Stories in Echo Park. She values the hard work of these small business owners and makes it her passion to ensure the ins and outs of their finances are well cared for. Her own background in performing arts, as well as her continued work with creative entrepreneurs, qualifies her as a fluent bridge between creatives and their finances. 

When she’s not building her business, Sandy spends time with hobbies that feed her soul. An avid home chef, her kitchen is always bursting with fresh produce from local farmers markets and a perfect wine pairing from her favorite California vineyards. She keeps active with yoga and long hikes up and down the LA hills with her two rescue dogs, Izzy and Dexter. And of course, Sandy loves to catch the latest Oscar-worthy movie.  

Isabeau

One of the two Morale Officers in the RyBo office, Isabeau Ryan is an integral part to of the team. While her management style tends to be a bit more hands-off than her counterpart, she knows exactly when someone on the team needs a little boost. After a short career on the noncompetitive-amateur agility circuit, Isabeau (known as Izzy or Lady Bubbles to her closest friends) settled into her second career as an irreplaceable member of the team. Isabeau’s favorite things are sunbeams, long naps, and generally being smarter than her brother. 

Dexter

Our other Morale Officer, Dexter Ryan (Mr. Handsome to the ladies) is an active part of office life. A socialite, he loves to oversee all social gatherings and encourage a positive attitude. Even with his easygoing nature, he’s not afraid to raise his voice, especially if a skateboarder or fire engine is disturbing workplace tranquility. Dexter’s first foray into the professional world was in obedience and performance art. With hard work and determination, he proved that you can teach an old dog new tricks, provided you have enough chicken. He now uses his skills to make the RyBo community a loyal pack.
